Sustainability, quality and community are important to us.
Our coconut oil is sourced directly from beautiful Fiji, grown organically in sustainable plantations. Our local supplier uses only fresh, clean coconuts supplied daily from local villagers who are paid for the coconuts they harvest and supply. The oil is processed in a simple, village-based factory which serves to improve the quality of life for many locals with a focus on empowering women within the community by providing both employment opportunities and education. We at Kind Coconuts are proud to support these local communities and endeavour to contribute to local projects where possible.
Why Coconut oil?
Produced from the fruit of the Cocos Nucifera tree, commonly regarded as the “Tree of Life”, coconut oil has been proven to have a multitude of health benefits. Coconut oil is a rich source of MCFAs (medium-chain fatty acids), with about 50% of these MCFAs made up from Lauric Acid, which is also naturally found in mother’s breast milk. This important essential fatty acid is what gives coconut oil it’s natural anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties and can help to promote general health and wellbeing. Coconut oil not only helps to protect the skin but also provides nourishment and moisturising benefits, promoting soft, healthy skin. It truly is a remarkable oil.
